Climaxes of the story

The Convention state voted for the ratification of the constitution in 1788, which led to the entering of the new state member, who had joined the Union, the eleventh of the original thirteen Colonies, New York. Ratification took place in the city of Poughkeepsie, eight miles north of New York city, and eighty-five miles south of Albany, the state capital.

Anti-Federalists demanded  for a ‘Bill of rights and fought to keep the autonomy of the state against federal encroachments. Moreover, Hamilton and the Federalists finally came to an agreement that a stronger central would provide a solid base for the growth and prosperity of New York. Furthermore, this led to the decision that New York should join the Union, which is now called the United States of America.  Joining the United States Union has also led to a great event, which was the inauguration of the official first U.S. president, George Washington.
